Hong Kong, January 16th, 2024 - HashKey Group ("HashKey" or "the Group"), a leading end-to-end digital asset financial services group in Asia, announced the completion of a Series A financing round of nearly US $100 million at a pre-money valuation above US $1.2 billion.
In addition to the active participation and strong commitment of existing shareholders, this financing round attracted new investors, including prominent institutional investors, leading Web3 institutions, and strategic partners.
The newly raised capital will be used to solidify HashKey's Web3 ecosystem, accelerate the product diversification of its licensed business in Hong Kong, and drive the Group's compliant and innovative development globally.
In 2023, HashKey pioneered a regulatory era in the Hong Kong virtual asset industry. HashKey Exchange launched the first licensed virtual asset exchange App in Hong Kong, providing customers with secure and seamless one-stop virtual asset trading services. Within four months of launch, registered users surpassed 155,000, with a daily average trading volume of US$630 million in the past 30 days. HashKey Exchange has also established strategic partnerships with over ten brokerage firms and six public listed companies.
